John 9:16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, ‘How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.

Satan does not like it when God shows up and shows out. He will use anything to blind people to Gods power. He will even use Gods word and His commandments. That is why we have to be in Gods word. Not just the New Testament, but the Old Testament. We have to be able to understand and use His wisdom to interpret it.

The Pharisees was supposed to know all of Gods word. But only understood or used what they wanted to back up their standing. Jesus opened the eyes of a blind man. Some of the Pharisees only cared about the day He performed this miracle on. The Sabbath is a Holy day. We are to worship God on this day. But God loves His people and wants them to prosper in Him. Satan used rules to try and hinder God from prospering His people. He is ruthless.

The most disappointing part of this story is men who claim to know God tried to undermine Him. Why? For their greed and their power. Pride is a better way to say this. Their pride caused this response. So the remaining question. Who are you going to choose? Jesus and His loving grace or satan? Choose wisely.
