John 9:3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”

Jesus was walking and He looked and saw a man blind from birth. There was religious people whom would say that this was caused by some sin that his parents committed. But Jesus refuted this thinking. He said that the man was blind because God would reveal works through him.

I hear people say that God is bad because of some of the horrible things that afflict other people. They fail to see what God sees. God has not nor never will commit sin. Sin ultimately causes these conditions because the earth is cursed. Therefore man is under the curse because of sin.

But, there is also lessons to be learned by people who come into contact with those afflicted. I am a nurse. One of the greatest lessons taught to me was taking care of a severe and profound disability man. All he could do was laugh. When he was hungry, he laughed. When he was sad, he laughed. It was an eye opening experience.

The thing that touched me was the moments when he was calm and he looked me in the eyes. Though I knew he was in a sad state, there was a peace in his eyes. A glow of God on him. It was a sobering experience. God was showing me that he was working through this man to help me. Now I can not understand why. I just understood He was.

God is good. His ways are not our ways. Even we we think the world is falling apart, God has a purpose. That purpose is to help others see His glory. Our lives a like whisk of smoke. He is guiding us to think about eternity. Our souls will be in one of two places. His will would be for you to choose Him. He uses bad for our good.
