Psalm 20:6 Now I know the Lord saves His anointed, He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.
This is an example of a Messianic Psalm. David was writing here about the Lord saving His anointed. David was an anointed king. Remember that Samuel went on a journey to find and anoint him after Saul sinned. God was with David and upheld him through all his troubles.
Now, he also was talking about the Son of David. The Messiah that came in the flesh and walked among us. He took the punishment for our sin on the cross. He died and was resurrected. God the Father saved Him from the grasp of death. The effect of taking our sin did not stain Him. He does though carry the scars of His sacrifice.
We as Christians should expect the same. The act of sin stained us but the blood of Jesus washed us clean. The mention of the right hand is a reference to were Jesus is now. It is a place of respect and honor. He is in heaven preparing a place for us when it is our time.
Friend if you have not accepted Him as Lord of your life then today is the day. If you could even fathom the love He has for you then there would be no delay. Come to Him, He is waiting.
