1 Corinthians 3:2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now are not able to receive it.

To start off as immature is natural, to remain immature is foolishness. We all have a starting point. It is a place where we have to be fed like a babe. We need simple to digest food, usually milk. Then we are to progress to cereal and then meat. This is a normal process we are all familiar with.

This is natural evolution in human life but what if we never proceed to the next level? Our growth gets stunted and we are left unable to advance with our peers. Now apply that to spiritual life. The same concept is true. If we cannot leave the milk stage then we are stunted in our growth.

Jesus came and died for our sins to save us. This is why He came to this earth. But when we accept that gift, did He want us to stay in that moment and not mature further? No he wants us to advance and grow more mature in Him. To not mature further is disappointing. Paul writes extensively about this and was disappointed with people he led to Christ that just refused to grow.

You were saved for so much more than to stay stuck. You should be teachers of others. You should be testifying. There are so many good works to do and not enough people to do them. It is my prayer that there would be more meat eaters in the Christian world.
