James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Submission is a word and concept that people do not want to consider in their life. When we think of this word there is negative connotations associated with it. We think of being less than or giving up our right to something. We feel if we submit we lose. With God there is nothing further from the truth.

God is not the little mean old man in the rocking chair waiting to punish us. He is a infinitely greater being than us that created us to have a relationship with Him. He knows us better than we know ourselves, because he created everything about us. He wants us to live the best life we can live and have prosperity. Not money or possessions but real prosperity. Spiritual well being, loving others, serving others and knowing Him as Savior.

To have this life we must resist the devil. He is anti-God in every aspect. He hates God, therefore he wants us to hate God. He does not have our best interest in mind. He comes to kill, steal and destroy. That means every person, child or anything you hold dear he will not spare in hurting. He does this to hurt God. This happens because God has so much love for us.

How much love? Enough that He sent His Son, His perfect and sinless Son, to die on the cross for us. He sacrificed so we could be free from the penalty of sin. This is the God we serve. Praise Him today!
