Romans 15:1 We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

We who are strong, not in our flesh but in spiritual strength. Those who reach this point are strongly reliant on the Holy Spirit. They have spent time in the word and on their knees praying. A lot of effort has been spent by others in helping them reach this point in their spiritual journey.

What are the strong suppose to do in their strength? They are to bear up the weaker brothers and sisters. This means to uplift them in their weakness. Disciple them, help them understand the word that was imparted to them. This is what it means to bear up. It is repaying the favor someone has done for them. It is reasonable service.

Some choose to ignore this and are impatient with the weaker brothers and sisters. They refuse to help them. This is not what we are called for. Jesus in his last command in Matthew tells us to go forth and make disciples of all nations. This is what the strong in Christ are to do. Go forth then and help someone today grow stronger in the Lord.
