Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God

We as humans are a curious creature. We like to put a thought in our mind, usually negative, about an issue we are dealing with and worry. We do this for days, months and even years. We do this over and over with multiple issues until we give ourselves poor health. This is not a sane way in which to live our lives.

God tells us not to be anxious. What we do is not in aligned with Gods’ word. We worry and stress. We talk to our friends. We think of faulty solutions and try them. We do this until we come to the end of our rope. Where should we have started? In prayer to the one who created us and knows us better than we know ourselves.

He wants us to come to Him and talk our problems over with Him. We are His children. He wants us to make our supplications to Him. He calls us to do this with thanksgiving. We are to be thankful because His answers to our problems will actually work. And we are to come to Him with that expectation.

Does this not make sense? Knowing that He gave all for us and wants us to be more like Him. We read in the scriptures that Jesus spent a large part of His time in prayer. Why? To show us it is important. He even gave us an outline in Matthew 6:9. If you are tired of the life of insanity, then try coming to Him first in prayer.
