Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

There is a lot of people who would say they have to work to make it to heaven. This is not the gospel of the revelation of Jesus Christ. Christ came to this world as a human and walked among us. He taught us and then He sacrificed Himself to save us from our sin. All we need to do is accept that and believe it. Then confess with our words that we are sinners and ask Him for forgiveness.

Then we are to set out on our journey to let Him mold us into the person He intended for us to be. This is how we present ourselves a living sacrifice. It is not the fact we change everything we like to do. No it is we now do it for Him. We sacrifice our time and energy to glorify Him. We spend time in the word and prayer. We witness to others. We work and give to those who need help. This is discipleship.

This is our reasonable service. He gave all for us. We give all we can for Him. Then with the help of the Holy Spirit, He helps us to do more. He walks with us through the entire process. God is not the mean old man in the rocking chair waiting to punish us. He loves us as we love our own children. May He richly bless you today.
