Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The heart. It is the center of who a person truly is as it is talked about in this verse. In Jewish culture it represents the seat of one’s inner self, encompassing emotions, intellect and will. What is your heart full of?
Jesus speaks a lot about the heart. In Luke He tells us. ” A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Your heart will cause what it is full of to come out!
So again, what is your heart full of? Good or evil? There is an old country saying, “If you lay with dogs you will get fleas.” In other words who we decide to be around has a great influence over us. So who are you letting influence you? Hopefully it is a strong Christian influence.
Jesus tells us He is the Way, the truth and the life. Come to Him and have life and life more abundantly. This is my prayer for anyone reading this devotion today. May God keep and bless you.
