James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

There is a spirit of hardness in the world, it has always been that way. But over the last decade it has seemed to have ramped up. We see video after video of people overly aggressive with on another. There seems to be no mercy in this.

The problem for everyone is one is judged by the judgment you show. If you are merciless then guess what is coming back your way? Jesus in all his teachings and dealings with people showed mercy. The only time he was angered was in the temple where people were being negatively swayed by the money changers.

What if today or the next encounter where you are put in a situation that is justifiably one where you could judge harshly, be merciful. Be kind and forgive. Smile. This is truly the way in which Jesus would want us to represent Him.
