Proverb 10:14 Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
Any fool can know. The point is to understand. Albert Einstein is credited with this quote. He is known as a mathematical genius. He developed the theory of relativity and the famous E=MC². He was also a high school dropout! He struggled with the rigid memorization factories schools have become. He craved thought that develops wisdom.
Wise people store knowledge, but to generate that knowledge we have to think. God gave us a brain and we seldom used over ten percent of it. Imagine if we truly dedicated ourselves to knowing. Even if we could increase the brain usage to twelve percent we would be considered a super genius. Think if we used it more to know Him.
Foolishness is the opposite of what we have been reading. It is not seeking wisdom. It does not seek God. Now think who most often is the most vocal people. That is right, the foolish. But fools are destined for destruction as the above verse tells us. Jesus tells us wide is the road that leads to destruction. So to take a logical leap, most people are foolish.
As you go throughout your day, you hear most often negative statements about God and His existence. This is foolishness. Be careful what you listen too and know wisdom is not common. Seek Him first, this is the beginning of knowledge. Be on the narrow road seeking the narrow gate. Jesus is there awaiting you.
