Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever towards the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.
David often found himself in trouble. Some of the times was his fault due to his sin. Others were due to the fact he was God’s servant. We can often find ourselves in the same predicament for the same reasons. Trouble in this world is never far.
How are we supposed to handle these rough times? It all starts where you have your eyes. Are you looking towards God and His ways, or do you have them on the world and its problems? If we are wise then we would have them upon the Lord. He is known for protecting His own.
What are we supposed to be looking upon? For starters His word. This is His love letter to us. He through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, has left us with an instruction manual. His word is beneficial to us in any situation we find ourselves.
What I love about His word is that He leaves nothing out. He shows the good and the bad. He does not sugar coat the sin people commit. David is a prime example. He was an adulterer, a liar and a murderer. God does not leave this out. He let us know about the whole person and the entire truth. But David truly repented of his sins and God called him a man after His own heart.
The fact of the matter is this, we all are sinners. We struggle, especially if we do not have a personal relationship. Another fact is He does not skip over or cover up the sin. David paid a heavy price and carried burdens for His sin. But He was forgiven.
You to can be forgiven. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We all need forgiveness. The sad fact is that in the end we ourselves place our on sentence on us. If we choose God and seek forgiveness then we spend eternity with Him. If we choose to ignore Him and live life our way then there is eternal separation from Him. Choose wisely.
