1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is the day after Resurrection Sunday. The most important day to a Christian. Jesus went to the cross, died and was resurrected for our sins. He paid the debt for the sin we commit. This is for past, present and future sin. How blessed are we?

The next question that comes is how do we get our sins forgiven? The answer is in the verse above. We first must confess our sin. This is not natural to man or woman. We tend to think that we are right and therefore refuse to think we do wrong. This is called pride. It is the foremost problem we have. But we must realize Jesus died because he knew what sin means. In Romans 3:23 it tells us all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

What is His response once we confess? He is faithful and just to forgive us. There is no hesitation and no second thought. God has always planned for this. From the beginning we were created a little lower than the angels. We were intentionally created to have a dependence on Him and His plan. It is foolish to think otherwise.

If you do not know Him and His goodness today, pray and ask forgiveness. He wants you to. He came in Human form and suffered for this very thing. And remember , the only way to be eternally separated is by your choice. He desires a relationship but he will not force a relationship.
