Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth…….

Dictionaries define truth as that which is true or in accordance with fact. But who determines what is true or truth? That is established by God’s word. He was the Master Creator. He created the math and science that formed this world. His wisdom holds it all together. So it is God who is truth.

What holds everything together on a person after dressing? A belt of course. The belt was so important in a Roman soldiers attire. Not only did it hold up his tunic when running or fighting, it also held his upper armor in place. The belt girded it together.

What holds our lives in order? The Truth. Who is Truth other than Jesus? If He isn’t holding your life together than it is out of control and contrary. Now that is not saying we are perfect. no we are far from perfect. We like others who do not know Christ still sin. We are not better, we just know the One who is better. When we sin we go to Him for forgiveness. He sits on the thrown of a Christians heart.

Today let us take the Truth to the world. Let them see it through our actions and words. We need to remember that if it was not for His sacrifice we would be headed to an eternal separation from God!
