You can’t please everyone. There is always going to be someone out there that is going to be upset. Some are upset by the truth, others are just naturally disagreeable. This is a realization we have to come to grips with. We want to be apart of something and get along. But there is always going to be dissent when we stand on truth.

So with that being said who are you looking to please? King Saul decided that he would rather please man rather than God. This cost him his kingship, his family and even his sanity. God will not be mocked! If you are His entrusted messenger, then we are to carry His message. Not to please men but to state the truth.

Now people today say truth is relative. If it is right for me then it is my truth. This is a flawed, sinful way of thinking and it leads to destruction. Truth is God’s word. He gave that to us with the scriptures. We are to stand firm on that word. Do you want to please a Holy God or fickle man? Choose wisely. It could cost you everything!
