Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done by selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

These are strange words in today’s society. So much of what we witness is inward focused. It is all about the “ME” in this generation. How much people are missing out on walking around with this spirit.

In fact, if we stop and study people who act like this, there is usually a trail of carnage behind them. Think of the homes were fathers or mothers have left because they wanted a life more suited to their wants. Think about businesses that have fallen because of the greed shown by the owners. Think about churches that have split over people being prideful.

We are not called to be like this. Jesus is our example and He was the most humble. He deserves all the praise and worship that all humankind can give. But He came and took on flesh and walked as one of us. He was tempted, he knew pain and he suffered rejection. The Word that created was cast off by His creation.

Today let us strive to be like Him. Let us follow His example. When we do we draw closer to Him and what he wants to show us. Be blessed!
