Mark 11: 24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
This can be a confusing scripture to those who do not understand who Jesus was talking to. He was surrounded by a multitude but He was not talking to the multitude. He was talking directly to His disciples here. If they would ask for anything in His name, believe the prayer then they would have it.
Now think about being a disciple, a true disciple. What would you want more than anything? It would be to be in the will of God. If that were the case would you ask for things like houses, cars or even a new fishing boat? No. You would ask for the things that matter like discernment, wisdom, insight into scripture.
Do not fall into the trap that satan has set. Keep your mind on the Word and what it has for you as a Christian growing in the faith. Keep your mind focused on the kingdom of God and your eternal destination, heaven.
