Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Conforming to something means to be of the same mind and acting in such a way that you resemble it. Do you think like the worldly system? Do you act in such a way that others would say you are similar to the sinfulness that has engulfed our culture? If so you need to be transformed.

How are we to be transformed? By the renewing of our minds. If sin has so ingrained itself in us then it needs to be cauterized. Sin is an act that is against Gods morale law. It separates us from the ability to have a relationship with our Creator. That means if we are not renewed then we will spend eternity separated from Him.

Therefore, we renew our minds through the knowledge of and acceptance of Jesus as King of our hearts and minds. We accept His gift of His sacrifice on the cross. He was beaten, hung on a cross and then all our sin was placed on Him. He paid the cost for us, so we can be renewed. Found innocent because He accepted our punishment.

All this because He loved us so much. With a love that is so intense and deep that even Christians who have lived fifty years have a hard time understanding. We are loved with an everlasting and boundless love that only God can fully appreciate. All for us to live for the purpose we were created. To worship and have a relationship with Him.
