1 Samuel 17:37 Moreover David said, “The Lord , who delivered me from the paw of the Lion and from the paw of the Bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine” And Saul said to David, ” Go and the Lord be with you!”

What is the giant in you Life? The giant of fear? Of doubt? We all have one. No matter what it is, the thought of it looms large in our minds. What do you do with that fear? Does it make you so uncomfortable you run?

We all know the story of David and Goliath, but what made David so brave? What made him have the strength to face the giant? These verses give us some insight. David had a long history of facing dangerous task.

He was a lowly Shepard. His occupation was often looked down on. He was the lowest of the low. Often he found himself in the desert with nothing but himself and God. He learned over time that the only one he had to depend on was God. His family didn’t respect him. His father forgot about him when Samuel came to anoint a new king. His brothers disowned him because he was the youngest child. All that he had was God.

Now, we who have traveled this road knows, God is all we need. He will help build us up, showing us how to conquer the bears and lions. Then when we totally trust Him in what He calls us to do; we can face the biggest giants. We can do this because we know He can do all things. Once we realize He can then we realize we can if it it His will for us.

Jesus told His disciples that if they had the faith of even a mustard seed they could move mountains. He also told us He is the Author and Guarantor of our faith. It all stems from Him. If you want the same faith that David had to face the giant, then seek the same relationship with the Almighty God. Jesus is waiting to hear from you.
