James 4:15 Instead you ought to say, ” If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

There is an old saying, “Man plans and God laughs.” This is very true. We are not promised tomorrow. So what we plan is always in limbo. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have plans or goals. What it means is that we should be asking God about them.

One of the biggest problems humankind has is the fact that God is in control. People want to live in the illusion they are the guiding force of their future. This can be true in the fact we choose to spend time today taking steps for tomorrow. But God is the one who brings tomorrow.

This can mean that He chooses tomorrow as the day an individual life is over. We all face death. We just do not have access to our expiration date. This can also mean He is calling us home. The day when Jesus comes back for the Saints. It all depends on Gods will.

The big point is He is control, not us. This leads me into a question. Do you know Him? Not what someone else thinks about Him. But do you know Him personally? If not remember tomorrow is promised to no one. Choose to know Him. You will not regret the decision.
