James 4:10 Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord; and He will lift you up.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less.” C.S. Lewis. We are made in the image of God. That means we are wonderfully made and to think less of ourselves is not godly. We are loved by Him and we need to be thankful.

Serving others is a way to think less about ourselves. It has been studied and people are actually happier when they serve their fellow man. Service is a privilege given to us by God. Jesus is our example.

God sees all. When He is looking at you what is He seeing? Is He seeing someone focused entirely on personal wants and needs? Or is He seeing someone with a servants heart who dedicates themselves to serving others?
