Colossians 2:8 Beware unless anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the traditions of men, according to basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Philosophies of men are like sands of a beach, there are many but are swept away by the tides. They are not stable and not reliable. Many try to live by them but are ruined by their weakness.

Traditions of men and principles are the same. If you want your life to be Topsy Turfy then follow them. If you want assurance and stability then put your trust in the Rock of Ages. His name is Jesus. You will not be disappointed.

Solomon says it best, folly is the foolishness of fools. Don’t be a fool. Jesus is waiting and He has been calling. Come to Him for a solid foundation. Be grounded in the love of a gracious Creator, Sustainer and Guarantor of life.
