Colossians 3: 14 But above all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

Love is the glue that bonds us to perfection. Without it nothing else matters. There are numerous gifts listed before love in Colossians but without love they are incomplete. Why is it that love is so important?

Love is not an emotion, it is a commitment of actions commanded by God. It is because God loved us that we were able to be in relationship with him. Through our sin we deserve death. God loved us enough to commit to be a substitute for us for the punishment we deserve.

Do you find it hard to serve others? Then look at our example Jesus, He served. Do you find it hard to forgive? Look at Jesus, He forgave. Whatever we struggle with in our flesh, look to Jesus. He will not only be a great example but He sent the Holy Spirit to help us.

Go be an ambassador for Christ. Show to others the love in which He has shown you. If you do not know Him, earnestly seek Him and he will show you the height, width and depth of His love for you.
