Psalm 39:6 Surely every man walks about like a shadow, Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heads up riches, And does not know who will gather them up.

We walk through life with our focus on the wrong things. Money, possessions and wants. We spend countless hours pursuing them. They in the end though are like a person trying to grab at water. The water slips through your fingers, just like them.

We do this in vanity. Our lives are like shadows; as the sun fades so do we. What would you say are the actions you would take, if you knew tomorrow was your last on this earth? Would it be making more money? Collecting more possessions? No. You would draw close to God and spend time with loved ones.

In the end these two things are all that matter. Jesus boiled all the commandments down to two. Love the Lord you God with all your heart, mind and soul. And love your neighbor as yourself. What will you spend your time doing today?
