Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction, For your word has given me life.

“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose, all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” This quote I heard is quite powerful. Though someone or something may never be physically here anymore, they are truly never gone.

There is times in life we wish we could skip over. It hurts losing. Live long enough and many afflictions and pains come upon us. It is inevitable. But it is not hopeless. There is help or better a Helper.

First, there is Gods Word. It is there waiting for you to pick it up. In order to truly understand its meaning we need the Holy Spirit. The Spirit takes Gods word and lets us slowly understand its meaning. The end of the process is an understanding. The human condition is one of sin.

There is true hope though when we understand that Jesus came, suffered our punishment and died for us. Jesus is a teacher, healer and most of all our Savior. Take time today to talk with Him. Ask, seek and knock. He will give you great comfort in knowing this world of suffering isn’t all that we have.
