Matthew 14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! it is I; do not be afraid.”

The storms of life can be overwhelming. The waves crash upon us without mercy. We get discouraged and overwhelmed. Then the question comes to our mind, “Why did God allow this?”

The question however is flawed. God never intended for us to live a life through the constant battles of storms. We caused these by falling to sin. When I read the bible Jesus is walking on the rough waves of the sea. He is also calming the storms.

You can read about what God is about throughout the bible. The dead are raised. The hungry are fed. Lepers are healed. This is the God we serve! He is a healer, not a disease causer. He breaks the chains of sin, not one who puts a heavy yoke of burden upon His people.

If you would like calm in the midst of the storm then you need to find Jesus! He is the proven and tried rock of salvation. Call upon His name and watch how your life changes for the better.
