John 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Moses was given the ten commandments by God. He then descended the mountain and gave them to the Israelite’s. Over the years they kept adding to them and eventually ended up with over six hundred. How many could keep them?

The ten commandments were enough to make most realize it was impossible to keep the law. Jesus then came and He dwindled everything down to two commandments. Love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and soul. Then love your neighbor as yourself? How many could keep the two?

The law is good. It was put in place to show us we need something more. More to save us from our sin. What is it that we need? What the law shows us is that we need Jesus. Jesus came to be the fulfillment of the law!

He fulfilled the law by being the perfect sacrifice. He walked as a man and yet knew not sin. He was perfect in every aspect. Then He voluntarily laid down and the cross and let Himself be nailed to it. He voluntarily took all the sin of the past, present and future. He went to the grave and was resurrected.

We can’t keep the law. He came to save us from our sin. If you haven’t accepted His gift of salvation then seek Him out. He is calling your name. Just listen and hear His sweet voice calling you to Him.
