Hebrews 2:9 Be we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
In Aesop’s fable the hunted beaver there was a sacrifice made. In order to live a life that was free from being hunted the beaver chewed off his tail. It was painful but he felt the reward of peace was greater.
Sacrifice is a choice that is made out of a need. Jesus made the choice to suffer. He chose being human, living a life with temptation and pain. Then suffering the punishment for our sins.
Most of us realize what sacrifice consist of. It hurts but the reward from the sacrifice for us is most times worth it. Jesus sacrificed for us. His reward is saving us for Himself. We are the bride of Christ.
When you live life today and you look around and see others that seem to have more and suffer less. Remember, we are His. Our reward from our sacrifice comes at the end.
