Matthew 5:15 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Good intentions aren’t enough. The path to destruction is full of good intentions. These are two wise sayings that enforce the above scripture. It is not enough to intend to do something good, we must fulfill the intention.

What if the person who told you about Christ didn’t. What if they got up that very morning and had the intention to witness but decided not to. Where would you be? Maybe you would have given your life to Christ anyway, maybe not.

We are to be lights to people in a dark world. You can’t hide the light. The light must shine. You must complete the mission Jesus has given you. Yes, you will struggle for words and will feel like you are not adequate. But you are a vessel, let Him fill you and His word will spill out.

We just have to be willing. He will do the rest. So go forth and shine. Then just wait and see what He can do.
