Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

News has always spread like wildfire. Gossip even faster. Why? Because people love listening to bits of information they think can improve their situation. We want to at least say that. The real truth is we want to know the dirt, so we then can turn and spread it. It makes us feel important.

We are less prone to listen to good news. We rather listen to the bad. Next time you want to try this notion first, tell someone about the gospel. Then tell someone a juicy story of some folly. Do you have to guess what will happen? You are right. They will flee from the good news of the gospel but run to the juicy tidbits.

Why? Because we are in a fallen world. Sin abounds. Our flesh desires evil. This is not new news. Isaiah and all the prophets spent their lives bringing God to the people. But the people do not want to listen. Most have a problem with not being on the thrown of their hearts. We just do not know.

The good news about the bad news is that God doesn’t give up easily. He loved us enough to send His son into the world to die for our sins. There will be a time when the running is over though. Choose Him and choose life eternal!

Gossip is like lying with dogs. Do it and you will get fleas.
