John 15:25 “But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, “They hated me without a cause.”

The world is a hostile place for Christians. Why? Because the world is hostile to Jesus. If it hated him; don’t you think it will hate you, if you are living for Him. Now here in America we don’t feel much persecution. We may be shunned or picked on maybe even lose some friends or family, but no real persecution.

In the book of Job, God was having a council meeting of shorts. Satan showed up and God asked him what he had been doing. He stated, “Walking up and down, to and fro on the earth.” In other words the world is under his control. We gave up control when we sinned. Yes we can say it was Adam and Eve but we have fallen to sin also. But this gave the enemy control.

This leads me to the point that the world hates Jesus because Satan hates Jesus. The accuser knows he is defeated. He really never had a chance but he wants to inflict as much pain as he can before he is banished. This is why we see so much hate towards Christians.

A word of hope though, Jesus has won. Therefore, if you trust in Him and accept Him as Savior, your hope has been fulfilled. We who are His children will suffer all the hell we will suffer on this earth in our few short years. The bad news if you don’t know Him you will have all the goodness you will have on this earth. Now, the latter statement is a sad statement. It is my prayer if you are reading this and are not saved by grace, you will seek out a person who can talk to you about Him. It is the best news you will ever receive.
