John 15:2 NKJV — “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Pruning grape vines is crucial to the development of grapes. If those vines aren’t pruned crucial nutrients are taken away from the fruit. Therefore, the grapes will be substandard.

Compare this to our lives. Do you know people that just suck up all the positive energy in the room with their negative energy? These people are like unproductive vines. They take away from good fruit.

God spends a lot of time pruning people.  Those things in our lives that drag us down, He takes away. Relationships, possessions and improper thoughts. This hurts at times but it is a great benefit to us. Over time people notice the beautiful fruit in our lives he made possible.

God is a Master Gardner. He produces greatness. If you are under the pruning shears at the moment, just hold on. Before you know your life will burst with new fruit!
