John 14:27 NKJV — “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Shalom. This is the word translated into English as peace. It doesn’t simply mean the absence of conflict as we like to think. It means a total mind, body and soul wellness.

This is what Jesus tells us He has left with us. He has the total you in his thoughts and actions. This is what He came for, because it is not just the current you He is talking about. It is also the eternal you.

He also doesn’t give and take away nor does He tempt you with His peace and take away. This is how the world acts. No friends He gives His gift with surety.

For this reason alone we can live our lives with confidence. No fear or anxiety. Yes friends Jesus is that good!
