Isaiah 53:4 NKJV — Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Who would you die for? I bet your spouse and your children just came to mind. Anyone else? Probably not. Who would you take a beating for? That list is still pretty short, right?

Jesus went to the grave for us. He suffered shame, took beatings and ultimately died. Cursed by His Father. Why?

He sacrificed Himself out of love. He loved us that much. Have you ever just sat and pondered that thought? Do you think you are worthy of that? Good thing He did and does. Because we know the sin we have committed.

Jesus was our scapegoat. We went free because He paid our penalty. The catch? We have to accept His gift of salvation. We have to acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior. He will not force himself on us. Praying you have made Him Lord of your life.
