Matthew 17:4 NKJV — Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

People want to worship. Worship is engraved into every human’s D.N.A., no doubt. Look around the world. Posters of heroes hang in children’s rooms. Watch how much effort goes into protecting checking accounts. Pay attention to the effort a person puts into attracting the perfect mate, then changing when perfection fails.

It is clear people worship. The focus of their worship is misplaced. Things are temporary.  People pass. Money is like water leaking through your fingers. Jesus though, is the real deal.

He is our friend, healer, and Savior. Then add a million other things to that. Even in His presence, His disciples didn’t understand. They put Elijah and Moses on His level. 

No, friends, they aren’t on that level. Only Jesus is worthy! When in church today, remember what Jesus has done for you. Sing, praise and worship His name
