1 John 1:8 NKJV — If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

There is no such thing as perfect outside of Jesus. Sin is a contagion that we will struggle with until we are in Heaven. So what do we do?

Jesus gave us the game plan. We start with prayer, and then we stay in the Word. We ask forgiveness when we pray and we continually contemplate on the Word.

Of course we will face distractions and difficulties doing these. Why? Because the Word drives Satan away. Jesus used it after fasting forty days to drive the accuser away. Prayer draws us closer to Him.

Take time today and do both, pray and read His word. You will be blessed.
