Proverbs 18:7 NKJV — A fool’s mouth is his destruction,
And his lips are the snare of his soul.

The golden tongue. The one that can talk his way in and out of everything.  Honey drips from their lips. Do you know anyone that way?

We watch people like this from afar and walk away shaking our heads. How did they do that? How do they get away with it? How can they always come out on top?

Truth is, in the end, it is fool’s gold. If you were a fly on the wall, you would be surprised at the destruction they cause. Ruined friendships, ruined relationships and in the end they fall into their own traps.

God doesn’t like a person with flattering lips. He wants someone with open ears and a heart for truth. The next time you witness such a person in action, remember, it all comes clean in the wash!
