2 Corinthians 7:8 NKJV — For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while.
At the time Paul wrote this letter to the Corinthians, things inside the church were off track. When people get off track they often live the rest of their lives holding on to the disappointment that follows.
Paul was disappointed in the fact he had to write a correctional, scathing letter to correct the church. But he had no regret. The church needed a kick in the pants. He did what he had to do.
The great fact learned here is that even when you are off track, Jesus sends help! He loves you more than you can ever realize! He will not leave you in a state of sinfulness.
If life is off kilter or truly off track, then turn to Him and ask for help. Then wait for a helper; like Paul, to show up. You will not be disappointed.
