Matthew 15:2 NKJV — “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

Traditions are something families find great joy in. Gathering at grandma’s to eat her famous dressing at Thanksgiving. Opening one present on Christmas eve.

These in themselves are not bad. Taking traditions into God’s house is a different matter. God does not honor tradition. He honors His Son, His Spirit and His Word.

Jesus healed people differently. He spoke, He touched and He even spit on the ground and made mud then rubbed it on a man’s eyes.

God’s ways are not our ways; they are so much higher. Follow Him and be untraditional as He wraps you in unconditional love.
