Matthew 14:28 NKJV — And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

There is a storm. The disciples are on a small boat. Suddenly, Jesus is seen walking on the the waves that are tossing the scared men around in the boat.

Then suddenly Peter yells out and asks Jesus to command him to leave the boat and walk to Him. Imagine you were one of the disciples. What would you do? Would you consider the danger and the conventional wisdom that you will sink and maybe drown?

Peter showed courage and faith. He walked on water. Then he took his eyes off Jesus and started sinking. Of course Jesus uplifted Peter and brought him to safety. We often  use this scripture to talk about Peter looking at the worldly conditions around him then sinking.

Peter had the courage to stand on faith and because of that he walked on water. When will you dare to show your courage and take your step of faith?
