Hosea 1:6 NKJV — And she conceived again and bore a daughter. Then God said to him:
“Call her name Lo-Ruhamah,
For I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel,
But I will utterly take them away.
We take risks all the time. We invest in the stock market. We take out loans for things we want. Even small risks like touching a hot surface just to see if it has cooled down.
Risk is part of life. Faith is critical in these moments. A risk we should never take is walking outside of God’s instruction.
This is where God’s chosen people were when Hosea lived and wrote God’s will for his life. He was instructed to name his child “no mercy, utterly take away.”
God’s words are an instruction manual for us to live our best. Disobeying them ultimately has consequences. These consequences affect everyone around us.
Humble yourself today and ask God if you are truly in His will.
