Jude 1:3 NKJV — Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Salvation is a gift from God. It is very personal to us. It should be. It is available to billions of people. God is big enough to love billions individually. This is a hard to understand concept about God. We as finite humans can be friends with many but close to few people.
Contending means we must fight for. We must strive for our faith. We have to invest in ourselves by studying God’s word. Praying for his will. We contend for our friends when we spend time with them. We listen to their concerns. Isn’t doing this for our heavenly Father more important?
Contend, strive and fight for your faith.
